I remember clearly the day that precious little girl was born. First grandchild to my Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary. The excitment in their voices when he called his sister, my mother, to tell her his first grandaughter was born. There is peace in my heart to know he was there waiting for her. The only sadness I feel is it all happened too soon. Kayleen you will always live in our hearts.......You left a beautiful legacy behind.

Kayleen has left us too soon, she was a joy to work with, extremely proficient at her job, and always a sunshine. She cannot be replaced.

I worked with Kayleen for several years prior to her diagnosis. She was such a hard worker, always positive and great with her patients. She often talked about her daughter and had such a gleam in her eye when she did. She will be missed and her hard work and dedication will always be remembered. My love and prayers go out to her family and close friends, especially her young daughter whom I know she loved so much! She will be missed!

Kayleen, you were the most sweetest, quick witted, pink loving, vivacious soul I have ever had the privilege of knowing. You were more than just a co-worker to me, you were part of my family. Words can't even describe what you meant to me. I love our chats and all the "grown -up" advice you imparted on me when I was an impressionable 20-something year old. Even after I left my Spina Bifida family, you and Suzanne never forgot about me and I loved our Jason's deli lunches so we could all catch up. My heart breaks for your family and Katyn. I know you are sitting on the pinkest cloud in heaven looking down on all of us. You will be greatly missed by all the hearts you have touched. RIP my sweet and lovely friend.

We knew Kayleen through the Arnold Palmer Hospital Spina-Bifida Clinic since our daughter has SB. Kayleen was such a wonderful, devoted nurse to the Clinic and all the kids. She had a heart of gold and a smile on her face. Our prayers go out to Kayleen's daughter and the SB Clinic of AP. We will miss you Kayleen.

Kayleen was the definition of strength, so eloquent and purposeful in her ways. I am glad I recently had the opportunity to tell her that she was the strong quiet force behind the Spina Bifida Clinic that she helped build and worked at every day. She smiled at me and said "I could see that" I dare say the same of her own day to day battle. I will miss sitting to talk with her, miss hearing stories of her daughter whom she adored so much and miss seeing her smiling face as I open the door to the office. Everyday no matter what or how she was feeling, she smiled. We will all miss you so much, rest in peace my dear friend.
