Suzan Conrad Turner, 62, was welcomed into Heaven on Monday, September 25, 2017. She passed away peacefully in her sleep with her beloved husband, Randy, at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial and Celebration of Life Service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. at Wekiva Presbyterian Church, 211 Wekiva Springs Lane, Longwood, FL 32779.
Born October 16, 1954, to Gordon and Georgie (Poole) Conrad, Suzan was raised in Pensacola, FL, and attended Pensacola Junior College prior to marrying her high school sweetheart, Randal “Randy” Turner on December 15, 1973. The two settled in New Orleans to begin their lives together. Suzan’s professional career included time as a legal secretary in New Orleans and later as a bond underwriter for The Hartford Insurance Group, though the job she loved most was that of mother and grandmother (Mimi).
Suzan raised three children with Randy while residing in New Orleans, Houston, Cincinnati and eventually Longwood, FL. An accomplished musician, Suzan studied piano for thirteen years and was often called upon to lend her talents to weddings, church services and school functions.
Suzan had a love for cooking and preparing holiday feasts, especially at Christmas, and loved nothing more than being surrounded by her family at the dining room table. Suzan and Randy found their second home in New Smyrna Beach where they spent long weekends and enjoyed hosting family and friends at their condo. They were fortunate to develop meaningful friendships in New Smyrna Beach.
Suzan was loved by many, and during her illness she and Randy were supported by friends and loved ones, and could not have fought so bravely without them. For this, they are eternally grateful.
Suzan is survived by her husband, Randy, three children, Chris (Erin) Turner, Brian (Amanda Yankowicz) Turner, and Erin (David) Oglethorpe, brother, Walter (Jane) Conrad, two young grandsons, Aidan and Dylan Turner, and beloved Maltese, Angel. Suzan is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Conrad, and mother, Georgie Conrad.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Suzan’s memory to The Hospice of the Comforter, 480 West Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714, or Wekiva Presbyterian Church, 211 Wekiva Springs Lane, Longwood, FL 32779.

Jose and Maria SanchezHialeah,
Suzan was like a second mom to me when we worked together in the bond center. She was always happy, and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. I knew if I was having a bad day, I could go to Suzan and she would cheer me up. I love her, and she will be forever missed.
